Queer & 2SLGBTQIA+ Therapy in Toronto and Across Ontario
Being queer or trans is not the problem. The stress can come from navigating relationships, communities, and systems that do not always make room for your whole identity. You may feel pressure to come out repeatedly, hide parts of yourself, manage other people’s assumptions, or choose between cultural and queer belonging. You may feel racialized in queer spaces and queer in racialized spaces. Therapy can offer room to work through these experiences with care and without judgment.
Therapy may support you with:
• Coming out or deciding whether, when, and how to come out
• Queer loneliness, connection, and belonging
• Minority stress, masking, code-switching, or internalized shame
• Family, cultural, or religious expectations
• Dating, relationships, intimacy, and attachment patterns
• Exploring sexuality, gender, or identity
• Anxiety, depression, burnout, or self-esteem
• Experiences at the intersection of queer, racialized, and neurodivergent identities
An Affirming and Collaborative Approach
Affirming therapy means more than simply accepting your identity. It means understanding how minority stress, heteronormativity, racism, and cultural expectations may affect how you see yourself and move through relationships. I draw from Narrative Therapy, relational approaches, DBT strategies, parts work, and inner-child work to help you explore these experiences and reconnect with the values and strengths that matter to you.
Your Whole Identity Is Welcome
Your queer identity does not exist separately from your culture, race, faith, gender, neurodivergence, relationships, or family experiences. My practice welcomes 2SLGBTQIA+ adults from all backgrounds, with a particular focus on supporting racialized and neurodivergent queer clients.
